Asia Cup 2022: Afghanistan thrash Bangladesh by 7 wickets, qualify for Super four

Afghanistan impressive performance continues in the Asia Cup 2022.Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets in the match played in Sharjah on Tuesday (August 30).


With their back to back wins against Sri Lanka and against Bangladesh, Afghanistan became the first team to reach in the Super four.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Bangladesh batter could not going better , they losing early wickets.

The Afghanistan spin twins Mujeeb ul Rehman (3/16) and Rashid Khan (3/22)  bowled tight length and lines and spun their webs in the power play and in the middle overs respectively.

When Muhammadullah (25 of 27) got out in 15.4 overs Bangladesh were 89-6 and it looks they bowled out under 100.



But Musadak Hussain 31 balls 48 and Mehdi Hasan 12 balls 14 helped Bangladesh to a respectable total of 127/7 in 20 overs.

Chasing a respectable total Najibullah zardan (43 not out of 17 ) and Ibrahim Zardan (42 not out of 41 )  played a fantastic knock and led Afghanistan to a convincing win in 18.3 overs with 7 wickets in hand.

After this convincing win Afghanistan became the first team to qualify for Super four in the Asia Cup 2022.
