 Colombo: Sri Lanka won 4th ODI by 4 runs and secured first ODI Series win against Australia after 30 years.

This is very tremendous win, which gives Sri Lanka confidence in next coming matches, says Sri Lankan Skipper.

Sri Lanka won the match by four runs to take an unassailable 3-1 lead in the series. After set Australia a 259-run target, the hosts took wickets at regular intervals until 19 was needed off the last over.

Skipper Shanaka, and No. 10 batter  Matthew Kuhnemann (15) hit three boundaries to get the visitors,equation to five runs required off the last ball to keep the series alive.But he was deceived by the slower delivery, hitting it straight up in the air for Charith Asalanka to catch in the covers.

In the end, David Warner's 99 runs was not enough to take Australia over the winning line. Asalanka hit a 106-ball 110 and Dhanajaya de Silva scored 60 runs from 61 deliveries for Sri Lanka.

Captain of Australian Aaron Finch says, that the series has gone the same way as we lose last few games. Some times we are near to win but after few moments we were way far of the game.

He also says, that we are having some hope to get good partnership but at the moment we starting lose wickets. We lose wicket at the wrong time.

Charith Asalanka is chosen as the player of the Match award .

Charith Asalanka,s maiden century take Sri Lanka to a reasonable target off 258 against Australia in 4th ODI.

Sri Lanka had not beaten Australia in an ODI Series since 2010,and had not won a bilateral series at home against the Australia since 1992.

Sri Lankan crowed are very excited and very happy after this Series win.
