Pakistan Women cricket team beat Sri Lanka team in 1st ODI

 Pakistan Women cruise to eight wicket win against Sri Lanka in first ODI and lead the series 1-0.

The Pakistan Women cricket team made a short work of a target to beat visitors Sri Lanka by 8 wickets  in the first match of three match ODI Series held at Karachi Stadium Pakistan.

The tourist lost earlier wickets against home side and lose the momentum of getting big score.

Sri Lanka were 96 for six , then Kavisha Dilhari came to the creez and fought for her team to rescue in this critical condition.

Sri Lanka tried both same and spin, but could not get earlier wickets because they show nothing decpline in their bowling. 

143 runs stand between Sidra Ameen and Bismah Mahroof, with Sidra Ameen dismissed for 76 just two runs from victory while Bismah Mahroof finished on undefeated  62,which helped Pakistan to chase 169 runs target with 49 balls to spare.

Earlier , Sri Lanka were bowled out for 169 .Leg spinner Ghulam Fatima was the leading wicket taker for the home side with good figure of 4/21 in 10 overs.

Sri Lanka won the toss and had elected to bat first in the first ODI match. 

The Pakistan Women cricket team captain Bismah Mahroof is hoping to carry forward the winning momentum in the next matches.

Our aim like the rest of the sides would be to earn a direct spot in the ICC Woman World Cup 2025.

The ODI squad for the series is a good and balanced of experienced and youth, "she said while addressing a press conference after the unveiling of the series trophy in Karachi on Tuesday.

The Skipper was the view that the bowling was the strengthen of the home side and they were focused on giving their best in the series.
